Finished magazine.

I have now finished my magazine and all of the final details have been added. There is a finalised front cover, contents page and a double page spread. I have taken all of the pictures and used most of them, however some I have not used because they were not relevant to the music magazine articles I was hoping for.

Front Cover:
Even after my final draft, I still made some minor details to it. Such as the 'golden girl' quote, I changed it because my main article was a girl and not a boy and therefore when reading the article, it would not have made sense.
Regarding my front cover, I believe that it does reflect outstanding music magazine due to the smaller details that make it more authentic. For example the bar code in the bottom right and the price of the magazine. Without it, the magazine would just look like a teaser of what is due to come.

The Facebook logo also allows the magazine to appeal to the younger audience because all of the younger ages owns a facebook account. With the latest artists being uploaded on facebook and their venues, the magazine will get recognised as well the artists. In this sense both are being promoted.

                           Content's Page:

I started my content's page with the same theme recurring throughout it in mind. That's why i have the grey back ground and the black outline and writing. The title is in small caps because I didn't want it to take up a lot of space on this page and no let the viewer get sidetracked. Therefore it had to be simple.
All the pictures are individually taken because I think that a picture alone gives a larger message. However, each picture gives another message. For example the main picture shows she very shy and in the small text about her it goes into a lot more detail about 'DJ Arista'. The group image shows a more club background and with the outfit it suggest to the viewer that different clubs have certain themes for different nights.
For the content's page, I wanted a different elements together. Hence why their is a main female and male artist on their own and the wording explains a little bit about them. Then their is a group picture showing the club setting. In contrast there are the DrDre headphones which talk about a competition which most magazine have. Lastly at the bottom are free posters and they would be placed in the middle. I have purposely selected male and female pictures to show that my magazine is cross gender based.

Double Page Spread:

My main target for my double page spread was for it not to be too filled with writing. I wanted one side to be visual and then the other to be the interview.
On the right, I got inspired by another magazine for the title and thought it really fit well with my interview material because it was edgy. With the picture at the bottom also, I found the eye contact very alluring because it's not aggressive, it's soft and this shows she has another agenda.
On the right, is where all the information about DJ Arista is. The pictures at the top are representing the main club that she has performed at and how great a time they are having. Therefore promoting her as a good DJ. Underneath them is her interview and the language is very colloquial especially when she says words such as 'skank out'. The older generation do not know what that meant, emphasising the fact the magazine is aimed at younger people. The quote taken out the magazine gives a sense to the reader that even though she is a great DJ, she still wants to remain herself unlike other artists.
The smaller details such as the black outlining of the pictures emphasis them as well as carrying on the theme. The good luck in the bottom corner also just shows how the interview is in full support of her. The underlining of the questions also show what is being asked and this will show the reader where the breaks are. So if the reader is looking for a certain question the can skip straight to it because they can see clearly where it is based. Lastly, the quote outlined in red just shows how important it is to read it and how relevant it is to the article.
